My new sewing room

Yes I'm finally getting my own sewing room!
I'm beyond tickled!

Our DD has now left the nest and moved
to her new apartment along with her 2 kitties.
This opened up the 2nd bedroom
for me to confiscate, LOL!! I wasted no time!

We're pulling the carpet and will lay allure flooring
but in the meantime I've moved stuff in
just so I have a place to hang out and dream!

Here you can see my Mother's Day flowers.

I will eventually pull the table in the closet
and my Dial N Sew in cabinet will go there.

This is the cabinet that will go in the closet
and the TV will be mounted on the wall
or on a shelf above the treadle.

My 66 in cabinet will replace the ironing board.
She's currently sitting in the living room.
Pictured below...

And my 201K in cabinet
(currently in TX with my son)
will go where my sewing box is sitting.

Hopefully it won't be too long before
I can show you the updated pics.

Stay tuned....

Cheers! ~M

127 Singer

Happy Mother's Day!!
And what a wonderful day it is...

I hope your day was just as fun as mine.
Yes I found another gem to bring home
and yes I'm now done collecting.

This 127 Singer born May 1914 has been
added to my crew but it's the treadle
that gets me more excited.
She's a Singer Drop-Head Base T16
5 drawer, open case, plain style meant for
No. 15, 66, 115, 127 & 201.

I can't wait to get her up and running.
In the meantime, I'm working on my new
sewing room so stick around for updates.

Cheers! ~M

Singer 66

How do these little gems just pop up
when you least expect it?

This little lady came home with me yesterday
and she's a Singer 66 in a no. 50 cabinet.
Dated January 19th 1931.

Check out the condition of her decals!!
Unfortunately she lived in a high humidity
area most of her life... Everett Wash.
I have a lot of cleaning to get the surface rust
off and refurbish parts of the cabinet.

I just adore this one!!

Until next time.... Cheers! ~M

My son picked her up for me so she awaits my
arrival in Texas to bring her home.

She's a Great Britain beauty in a no. 40 cabinet.
Batch - August 19th 1948. The top is a 75/25 split.
I think I'm addicted!!

Oh yes I still have one more machine to post....
Stay tuned!!

Cheers! ~M

So excited to add another vintage to the family.

Love my Girls

Finally... The girls are out
all at the same time!

This is my Kenmore sewing machine, Kenmore serger
and Centennial Featherweight 221.

Did you know
Kenmore machines were made by Janome?

Yep! This was something I learned many
years later when researching about quality
machines having a metal frame. I don't think I
did too bad considering I didn't have any
help when choosing my machines back in the late 80s.

Yesterday I received my Sew Steady Table and couldn't be happier!
The fit is nice and snug!

Got my FW oiled and lubed but still having issues
once she's been threaded. HMM!

I don't have material so I've decided to purchase charm packs, jelly rolls & layer cakes to get started quilting. Here's a little bit of my loot...

Now to let the fun begin!
Cheers! ~M
